Description
Summer Day by Joan Stratton - A mid summer's morning, the sun is already so high in the in bright blue sky that the shadows are short and compact. White, fluffy, cotton ball clouds slowly drift across the sky as the drag from a jet crosses the path of a love heart shaped cloud. A lone black faced sheep has the company of an Australian willie wagtail bird, while out in the field eating as much as she can before the day gets too hot. Later we will find her laying in the shade of the seven slender conifer trees along the rise to the hill, with the rest of her mob, trying to stay out of the sun and keep cool.
A hand-drawn drawing / painting from scratch which forms part of my seasons on a hillside collection.
