Description
Peacock by Joan Stratton - I really enjoyed painting this peacock...I love their rich blues and golds and their haunting call on a still night. I used a combination of oils, acrylics, spray paints and charcoal to produce the work.
When I was young, friends of my parents had peacocks and whenever the birds dropped their tail feathers we would be given some. I used to make ear-rings out of them or place them in flower arrangements. They are so pretty to look at.
