Jesus The Saviour - Glory To God by Joan Stratton - A contemporary heavenly painting of Jesus, amongst the clouds, with angels blowing their golden trumpets, while He is welcoming all into his arms.

This was a commissioned piece for a local church, here in Weipa, Queensland, Australia. I struggled with this one and repainted it several times, as originally was not given any guidelines as to what they would like and this picture was very different to start with. I had painted Jesus with darker skin and brown eyes as my interruption of his cultural background, but when the pastor saw it, I can only say the he appeared horrified! So I then received instruction as to how Jesus was to look. I donated the painting to the pastor and his Church.
