Faded Blue Cabrit Murex by Joan Stratton - An illustration as the sunlight shines through the clear turquoise seas of the reef, rays of its light touch on the surface of the metallic sandy sea floor and kiss the shiny metallic, mechanical laced cabrit murex seashell, a precious gem in a surreal steampunk world.

This classical shaped sea snail mollusc with sculptured pointy spines was inspired by the ones I found on the beach at Pormpuraaw, Cape York, Queensland, Australia.
