Poppies on Lake Mulwala by Joan Stratton - The focal point on the shimmering lake with its ghostly trunks of red gum trees, that met their in in the waters of the lake, stand like soldiers guarding a secret. In the foreground a pop of pink with two field poppies at Lake Mulwala, Yarrawonga, Victoria, Australia. The lake is an unforgettable sight with its majestic and ghostly river red gums and is a very popular place for water sports and fishing.

Lake Mulwala, is a man–made reservoir on the Murray River, which defines the boarder between Bundalong and Yarrawonga in Hume region of Victoria and Mulwala in the Riverina region of New South Wales, in eastern Australia.

I began my working career in Melbourne, as a trainee in graphic art, technical drawings and drafting for a mining and engineering company.
