Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

Celtic Shield Knot 5 by Joan Stratton - The intricate never-ending colourful knots of the Celtic Shield Knot Symbol aka the Celtic Knot, used in Irish / Scottish designs, where there is no beginning and no end. This Celtic symbol is also used for protection from danger and warding off evil spirits.

Hand-drawn digital artwork on hand-drawn digital background. I have also used an older method (like from primary school) of inking the front and scraping/erasing a design/pattern to the work.

Welcome to Paintings By Joan - Art & Design By Joan P Stratton. I live in the tropical far north, Cape York, Queensland, Australia. My beautiful home and country is the inspiration for my art. I began my working career in Melbourne, as a trainee in graphic art, technical drawings and drafting for a mining and engineering company. With the diversity of work available to me, I gained vast experience with all manner of mediums prior to the advent of computers. In the mid '80s, as a side-line to my permanent employment, I designed and prepared artwork for record covers (Albums, Eps), promotional ads and flyers for rock bands that marketed their music independently.
