Australiana Pop Art Strine Fav Happy Home by Joan Stratton - My tribute pop art illustration of a trio of Vege mite jars the Aussie Favourite iconic yeast extract spread, is full of B vitamins, that has a strong salty beef taste that most Australians love, though the taste can be too strong for some, it is a favourite on toast or a sandwich taste like home to me, happy little Vegemites as bright as bright can be!

It is versatile and can be spread with butter on toast by itself or top with cheese or a fried / poached egg or tomato slices. Make a hot drink with a heaped teaspoon of vegemite into a mug of hot water, add a shake of pepper and a dash of Worcester sauce and stir until vegemite dissolves. Add it to gravy when it needs a bit more flavour. I love the taste and one jar goes a long way. It has a magic quality as it can trigger childhood memories of home, veg-e-mite sandwiches on freshly made bread, bread crust pin wheels, grandma's house and puts a rose in every cheek.
