Australiana Pop Art Tea As Ingredient by Joan Stratton - My tribute pop art illustration of an Aussie Favourite described as the taste of Australia this iconic yeast extract spread, is full of B vitamins, that has a strong salty beef taste that most Australians love, though the taste can be too strong for some, it is a favourite on toast or a sandwich for breakfast, lunch and Tea!

It is versatile and can be spread with butter on toast by itself or top with cheese or a fried / poached egg or tomato slices. Make a hot drink with a heaped teaspoon of vegemite into a mug of hot water, add a shake of pepper and a dash of Worcester sauce and stir until vegemite dissolves. Add it to gravy when it needs a bit more flavour. I love the taste and one jar goes a long way. It has a magic quality as it can trigger childhood memories of home, veg-e-mite sandwiches on freshly made bread, bread crust pin wheels, grandma's house and a rose in every cheek.
