Part of a collection of simplicity in black and white. Is it white on black or black on white? This series includes existing works where I have removed all colour therefore I am left with the result of the absence of colour.
Life cannot be a series of black &/or white choices, we all need a little colour.
Black and White digital abstract design where I have used an older method (like from primary school :) of inking the front and scraping a design to create a new piece of mixed media/digital art.

Welcome to Paintings By Joan - Art & Design By Joan P Stratton. I live in the tropical far north, Cape York, Queensland, Australia. My beautiful home and country is the inspiration for my art. I began my working career in Melbourne, as a trainee in graphic art, technical drawings and drafting for a mining and engineering company. With the diversity of work available to me, I gained vast experience with all manner of mediums prior to the advent of computers.
