The Brightly Colored Coloured Fiddler Crab by Joan Stratton - A delightfully coloured painted portrait of a fiddler crabs, also known as the calling crab, with its large beautifully coloured pink and orange claw held before him which he moves back and forth as if playing a fiddle. The other front claw is rather small in comparison.
Fiddler crabs live in mud or sand flats near the beach, these three where on the beach at the Esplanade in Cairns, Queensland, Australia.
