Silver Tones Bullmouth Cassidae Conch Seashell by Joan Stratton - A silver Cassis rufa seashell in a surreal steampunk themed illustration the metallic, mechanical laced bull's mouth helmet conch seashell surrounded on one side by starfish, as the light plays off it's shiny surface the rain drops dip on the viewing portal of our glass bottom boat in the clear waters on the coral reef somewhere off the northern coast of Australia.
This classical shaped sea snail mollusc is know by many names; cypraecassis rufa, cassis rufa, bullmouth, red helmet and cameo shell. This one was inspired by the one I found in Papua New Guinea.
