Rainbow Sand And Fiddler Crabs by Joan Stratton - A delightfully coloured painted portrait of three fiddler crabs, also known as the calling crab, with their large beautifully coloured pink and orange claw held before them which they move back and forth as if playing a fiddle. Their other front claw is rather small in comparison.
They live in mud or sand flats near the beach, these three where on the beach at the Esplanade in Cairns, Queensland, Australia.
