Patterns of Weipa Bauxite Beach by Joan Stratton - Some of the beaches in Weipa, Cape York, Queensland, Australia have bauxite deposits on the beach instead of sand. They are a mix of bauxite pebbles and small sea shells.

I really like the out of focus bauxite at the lower part of the picture 'cause the further away you get the more in focus it becomes and it draws the eye up into the undulating background of bauxite and shells.
