Night Road Train to Pormpuraaw Cape York Queensland Australia by Joan Stratton - Australian outback unsealed roads can be very dangerous, this painted night scene shows the dust storm created by a road train, transportation truck with several trailers attached, as it makes its way along the road from Musgrave Road House through to the coastal aboriginal community of Pormpuraaw, Cape York, Queensland, Australia. As this road is fairly narrow we parked up on the side of the road allowing the road train to pass and the dust to settle, so we could ensure there were no other vehicles travelling behind in the dust, before we continued our journey, approx. 7 hours drive, back to Weipa.
