Mermaid Captures The Light by Joan Stratton - A beautiful mermaid swimming at a great depth, suddenly sees something flash by, she stops to investigate, her mass of flowing fiery red hair, swaying about her head in the tidal ebb, she wears the golden shell necklace of her station. As she stares intently into the depths, with her large bright eyes fixed to the distance, she wonders what had passed her by so quickly that she had been unable to determine if it was friend or foe.
Starting with one of my paintings, then digital blending a mixture of digital manipulation and drawing. Part of a series of PaintDigi-Blending.
