Mangrove Sunset at Gongbung Beach Weipa by Joan Stratton - The Storm clouds are building to a tropical down pour but as the golden sun sets for the day on Gongbung beach, a light rain is falling causing circular ripples in the shallows of the peaceful tidal waters that are slowly creeping up the shoreline. The Mangrove tree roots, now soaking in their salty cool aide, are standing guard over the closing day as the sea birds fly to their roost.
