Mangrove Silhouettes Painted Sky Sunset by Joan Stratton - Late afternoon, the silhouettes of the mangrove trees with a large dry season sunset painting the sky and lighting the sea with it's flicking reflections, north west of Lake McLeod, Wallaby Island beach in Weipa, Cape York, Queensland, Australia. If you look closely at the top of the mangrove tree you will see that it is full of Pied Cormorant birds roosting for the night and a few to the right coming in for a landing while a number of them are in the water getting dinner :)

I began my working career in Melbourne, as a trainee in graphic art, technical drawings and drafting for a mining and engineering company.
