Coloured Reflective Rain Drops On Metal Handrail by Joan Stratton - A painted pastel colourful piece of the time after the rain has stopped, its droplets form on the shiny, reflective, metal cylinder hand rail surface. The handrail gathers all of the colours of the tropical rainforest gardens surrounding it and reflects them through the drops forming individual works of art. It has a calming, zen feel that I could watch all day but the tropical, north Queensland, heat swiftly evaporates them away. At the waters edge, near the Boulders, Babinda, Queensland, Australia.
Located in the foothills of Bartle Frere (Chooreechillum), at 1622m, Queenslandβs highest mountain the Boulders area is named for a series of huge outcrops of granite boulders found along Babinda Creek amongst the sparkling, cascading, cool, clear mountain water makes it a popular swimming and picnic area in the tropical rainforest.
